Internship Opportunities

GET EXPERIENCE IN ALL ASPECTS OF PUBLISHING & SALES! Since 1976, Spindle Publishing Company has specialized in publishing targeted annual resource guides, such as the Student Guide to Pittsburgh. Over 25 such publications are produced each year for metropolitan areas across the United States, including several web projects. Internship positions are available—please read on.

Baby Shop magazine, a trade publication for the juvenile industry, is looking for highly motivated individuals whom are seeking an internship in sales and marketing. As our sales and marketing intern you will be responsible for lead research, distribution and database management, editorial research, assisting publication managers in sales and marketing efforts, web development and client maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION: Business, marketing or communications majors with marketing and advertising emphasis. We are looking for self-motivated, responsible, articulate individuals who wish to pursue a career in sales and marketing. Knowledge of word processing, desktop publishing software desirable. Pittsburgh area college students are preferred as interns must be available to work for more than one term. Applicants looking strictly for a summer internship will not be considered.
LOCATION: Spindle Publishing Company, 2275 Swallow Hill Road, Building 800 Pittsburgh, PA 15220 (Greentree Area); Phone: 412-278-4900; Fax: 412-278-4906. Just off Greentree Road and next to the Scott Town Centre.

HOURS: 15-25 hours per week during business hours (btw. 8:30am and 5:30pm weekdays).
SALARY: $7.50/hour

CREDITS FOR INTERNSHIP: Get prior approval from the internship office at your college/university and your academic advisor. Also, please inform us if you are taking the internship for credit so that we may be advised of the requirements specified by your advisor.
